Raising over £25,000 at the EFTC Charity Ball

Giving back to the community and to those in need is something that Vacancy Filler take pride in being able to do. Choosing Education for the Children as our primary charity for 2014/2015 was an easy decision to make after seeing all of the amazing work that they have done for the children in Guatemala over the past few years; and how passionate they are about the cause is something to be admired.

Vacancy Filler have sponsored 5 children of varying ages for the past year to attend the ‘School of Hope’ in Guatemala. The money we donate helps to pay for tuition fees, food and school supplies with the aim of helping the children there work their way out of poverty through the power of education.

We attended the EFTC Charity Ball on Saturday the 10th of October at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham, where thirty Vacancy Filler staff and friends of the business enjoyed an amazing meal and carnival themed night. The main purpose of the event was to raise more money for the school in Guatemala, and this was achieved through the generous donations from local businesses and charity sponsors.

The night was a huge success, raising more than £25,000 on the night!

Many kind words were said about the charity and the work that they do, and we would like you to help them continue their hard work. You too can sponsor a child at the school, all you need to do is contact the charity by emailing – They still have over 200 un-sponsored children that need your help to get them through education and into employment to end the circle of poverty.

We would like to thank everyone at Education for the Children for an enjoyable evening and we look forward to doing more with you in the future.
