With Christmas literally round the corner and the New Year fast approaching, it’s also a time for reflection. We’re excited to see what 2016 will bring, but before we race into the New Year, we decided to refer to a well-known phrase that we often use here at Vacancy Filler; “You should only look back to see how far you've come.”
So we thought we’d do exactly that and look back on all that we have achieved over the last year together:
Vacancy Filler Growth
In 2015 Vacancy Filler moved into two new offices; one here at the heart of England in Leicestershire and one that enabled us to expand internationally, in Canada.
This year has seen our head count expand rapidly and welcome new Colleagues in every department, increasing by an additional 40% overall.
During the summer of 2015, Glassdoor put together a list of the Best UK Technology Companies to work for. We’re both privileged and humbled to have been awarded a top 5 place in the list.
This year Vacancy Filler won not one, but two Deloitte awards. The first was for a place in the Deloitte Fastest 50 growing tech companies in the UK and the second was for a place in the Deloitte Fastest 500 growing tech companies in EMEA.
Additionally, Vacancy Filler was awarded a place on G-cloud 6 framework. Following the stringent tendering process, Vacancy Filler were awarded a place as a means to provide cost effective services to the Public Sector across the UK.
Corporate Social Responsibility
At the start of 2015, Vacancy Filler began supporting Education for the Children. Through this charity we help by sponsoring five Guatemalan children with a years’ worth of food, books and tuition fees. The charity works through the School of Hope, and we welcomed one of their longest standing teachers Jorge, to our Leicestershire office. We were also proud to announce that Vacancy Filler’s beard growing efforts helped raise more than £500 for the Movember charity. As part of our work in the local community, we continue to sponsor a Leicestershire based football club Ingles FC, where we hope our sponsorship will help support their growth at grass roots level. (All part of the plan to keep Leicester City at the top for many years to come!)
Engagement with Our Customer Base
This year we launched our interactive helpdesk which acts as a self-service support portal, allowing users to locate user guides, track support tickets as well as accessing other support tools. The helpdesk facility has allowed us to continually improve the level of support that we provide not only for our customers, but also the candidates that apply via our customers’ careers pages. Our Support Team have assisted thousands of candidates, freeing up (for our clients) over 600 man hours otherwise spent on dealing with day to day candidate queries. Additionally, we conducted our first User Group at the CIPD event in November, which has enabled our customers the chance to share feedback with us on the direction of our product, as well as share ideas and best practices with each other.
We all know that success isn’t achieved by any one person or entity alone; it requires a great deal of input from a number of individuals, teams, clients and partners to achieve a vision, and we would like to thank everyone who has contributed to our growth and success.
